Robala ka kgotso, Deputy Minister Mkhize!

On behalf of management and all staff in The Presidency, we send our heartfelt condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of the late Prof Hlengiwe Buhle Mkhize, Deputy Minister in The Presidency for Women, Youth and Persons with Disabilities.

Prof Mkhize’s legacy is indelible across so many dimensions and sectors of our national life.

She will be remembered as a tireless and passionate anti-apartheid and human rights activist, a person who dedicated her life to the upliftment of traumatised children, and a campaigner for an end to gender inequality.

Throughout all these and many other contributions she made to our nation, Prof Mkhize played her part unselfishly and with great love for humanity.

Her passing constitutes a national loss, and our task is to keep her legacy intact and build on it.

May her soul rest in eternal peace!
