Media Memo and Call for Media Accreditation: World AIDS Day 2021 Commemoration Event

Deputy President David Mabuza, in his capacity as Chairperson of the South African National AIDS Council (SANAC), will on Wednesday, 01 December 2021, lead the official commemoration of World AIDS Day at Saselamani Stadium, Xikundu, Limpopo province.

The national theme for this year’s commemoration is:

Working Together to End Inequalities, AIDS, TB and COVID-19.
Get Tested. Get Vaccinated. Adhere to Treatment.

Media interested in covering the World AIDS Day Commemoration event are requested to send their details (names and surname, ID or passport number and media house) to Tshiamo Selomo on 067 628 9144 / tshiamo@presidency.gov.za or Simangaliso Motsepe on 073 186 2094 / simangaliso@sanac.org.za by no later than 14:00 on Monday, 29 November 2021. 
 
The commemoration will be divided into two parts as follows: 

PART A: Dialogue with Traditional Leaders

Time: 09h00
Venue: Xikundu Traditional Court, Collins Chabane Local Municipality, Vhembe District, Limpopo

PART B: World AIDS Day Official Programme

Time: 10h00 
Venue: Saselamani Stadium, Xikundu, Collins Chabane Local Municipality, Vhember District, Limpopo
